And She Wept

And She Cried
Revised On September 18th 2001 in the aftermath of
AMERICA UNDER ATTACK

On this date we as Americans stood our ground
and tried to return to the freedom we all once treasured.
We did not forget those we have lost this past week
nor have we forgotten about all the families and friends
touched so deeply by this past week.
We took our lives once more into our own hands
and did not give into this evil selfish coward
whom had tried to take America's Pride.
We took our Faith, Honor, Trust and Belief in our fellow man
and moved forward as to show our strength and unity.
We simply beleived in ourselves enough to stand proud
and be the persons that have made us whom we are today.
And that is the Strong Proud Americans that we are fightin for
and showing the world that we have not been weaken as a community
by the selfless acts of this attack on America.
For if we stand still then they have won
They have broken thee American Spirit that drives us
and we cannot give into this
or they win!
To all of our heroes both told and untold
The policeman, the firemen, the emt's and all the service workers
~GOD BLESS~
but most of all those who have shown America once more
that we will stand together
no matter what they tell us
no matter what they show us
no matter what they teach us
We will beleive in "US"
"Us" being the American People of the United States.
"US" being the Families that hugged one another
"US" being the religious leaders that guide our children
"US" being the child that looks to a parent for strength.
We will give of ourselves, our beings as an American
from giving of blood to the Red Cross
to Donating of monetary value
to the endless hours of prayer
and to the comforting hours of listening
We all are giving of ourselves in one way or another
regardless if it is the HUG we give to a child
or the determination that we will survive
and the labor put forth for the day
to the friendly hello to a neighbor
or across the internet
just to let a friend know they are special
and they are treasued.
For if one lesson is learned from this whole catastrophy
it is that whole America wept
She also gave us strength!
Proud to be an American

who wishes for her children
to learn from this and not be angry
Be proud.. Stand for your beliefs in your fellow man
Hold true to your own values and morals
and to always treat another as you would like to be treated
for tomorrow may never come.
